Dawson County Teenage Republicans held their first meeting at the Dawson County Library on November 20th. Thirty-four teenagers have signed up to participate in the local TARS. More that 10 adults have volunteered to help with the group and the Dawson County Republican Party has set aside a fund to assist in helping them.

Mrs. Linda Parker, State TARS Advisors spoke to the group and helped with the organizational meeting. The motto for the TARS is, “Tomorrow’s Leaders Making a Difference Today.” Mrs. Parker told us about some the different opportunities that there will be for the teenagers from age 13 to 19. The group will have monthly meetings, beginning in January 2005.
